You are invited to a 1 day retreat with Anita Wilson and Gav Barbey, together they bring their passion, knowledge and skills to a day of embodying the self and connecting to nature with calm and gentle horses.
Anita is a Equine Therapist & Naturopathic Herbalist while Gav is an Interdisciplinary Artist, Somatic Movement and Meditation facilitator.
Together Anita and Gav will guide you on a journey based on Somatic Practice, which is all about embodying the self and our true nature where we can take in, moment by moment, all that we experience in life, staying present to every sensation.
How beautiful it is to sit within the presence of horses – how much more engaging it is to really observe them, their dimensional spirit and how we co-express emotions, movement and life.
We will engage our imaginations through a meditative journey, based on subtle Movement, Nature Play, Mark Making and Deep Listening. This is a day that promises to engage you in deeper ways to communicate and commune with yourself and the world around us.
We offer a space of non judgmental interactive expression so you can reconnect, discover and nourish yourself. No horse experience required only an open heart and open mind.
Mark Making is a tool that asks not for a definition, nor a right or wrong… it is our rich and often hidden ability to connect with your self expression through the lines, marks, patterns and textures we create in artwork.
- All materials will be supplied however if you have a favourite bolster or cushion please feel free to bring it
- Please wear clothes that are comfortable and not adverse to getting down in the earth
- Wear closed shoes & bring a hat
- Bring a dish to contribute toward lunch Morning tea, afternoon tea, juice & water provided
- Meditation, Movement, Nature Play, Observational Mark Making Plant Medicine, Ground based activities with horses
